On May 31, a 55-year-old staff member at an infant care facility in Saga City was fatally stabbed.
The suspect, initially identified as “Miru Hirata,” was later confirmed on June 2 to be 28-year-old Chinese national 李綽楹(Li Chuoying?).

That day, Li had visited the facility to see her 2-year-old daughter, who was in protective custody and celebrating her birthday.

She reportedly shouted, “Give me back my child,” became violent, and fatally attacked the staff member with a knife.

Authorities say the daughter had been placed in care after Li was found verbally abusing her at a daycare.
